We get asked many of the same questions over and over everyday...here is the response to several of them!
Q - Where do you get a 300lb
block of ice?
A - We manufacture our crystal clear ice blocks using Clinebell ice makers
at our studio.
Q - Is most of your business for weddings?
A - Actually weddings are only 1/3 of the celebrations we carve for. About 1/3 of our creations are designed for Corporate Events and the other 1/3 for other sorts of celebrations like Birthdays, Holidays, Graduations, and Church Functions.
Q - How do you deliver completed sculptures without them melting or breaking?
A - Typically we just put a sleeping bag over them that keeps them from melting for a couple hours. As for not breaking them, we just have to be very careful.
Q - Do you have to carve in the freezer?
A - Most sculptures can be carved outside the freezer if you work quickly. The Logo items must be done in the freezer to keep the fine detail that is produced.
Q - How much notice do you need for an ice sculpture order?
A - 4 or more weeks is preferred but we have created our art with only a days notice. Don't assume you are too late to order, let us make that decision!
Q - How long does it take for you to do a sculpture?
A - It depends on the specific
sculpture, Logos take longest because it is a several step process both
in and out of the freezer, but typically sculptures can take 15 minutes
to hours depending on the creation.
